For new students · School year 2026–2027
Start your year as a musician on 5 October
JazzPopStudio is a full-time day school in Antwerp for young adults who want to become musicians. You play every day, alone and in groups, mentored by working professionals. There is no entrance exam — we do a level assessment so you start in the right combo and the right theory group. The school year starts on 5 October, and every new student takes that assessment before the start.
Booking an assessment is a request, not an enrollment. No payment is taken online. We call every applicant personally, usually within one working day.
Full-time, practice first
You play every day. Instrument lessons, combos, theory and jams, 15 to 18 hours a week across 30 weeks.
No entrance exam
A level assessment places you in the right combo and matches theory to what you already know. It is not a filter.
Jazz or pop — you choose
Your specialization gets more weight in the practical lessons, but you are challenged to master other styles too.
Two locations in Antwerp
Oudstrijdersstraat 9 for theory and practice, and Trix (Noordersingel 28–30) for practice and jams.

Moving to Antwerp? We'll help you get there.
Moving to a new city is a big step. Exciting, and honestly a little scary too — a new place, a new room, a new language around you. You will not have to figure it out alone. We have been doing this with students from Belgium and abroad for over forty years, and we know what the first months look like. So we wrote everything down for you: how to find a room, what things cost, what to arrange when you arrive, and where the music happens in this city.
